These terms govern your use of Cariboo. This is a placeholder pending review by a qualified lawyer.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Cariboo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and located in a supported country to create an account or post a listing. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

User content

You own the content you post — listings, photos, messages and ratings. By posting it, you grant Cariboo a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, store and distribute that content so we can operate and promote the marketplace. You confirm you have the right to post everything you upload.

Prohibited content

You may not post or promote:

  • Illegal goods or services, or anything you do not have the right to sell.
  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition and explosives.
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances.
  • Scams, fraud, misleading or deceptive listings.
  • Counterfeit or stolen goods.
  • Adult services, or any content involving the exploitation of minors.

We may remove any listing and suspend any account that breaks these rules.

Payments

Cariboo is cash-first. Cash meetups happen directly between buyer and seller at your own risk — inspect the item and meet in a safe, public place. Online payments are off by default in the current version and will require a future payment provider before they can be used.

Account termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harm other users, or put the marketplace at risk. You may stop using Cariboo and request deletion of your account at any time.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, that a transaction will complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cariboo is not liable for losses arising from dealings between users.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the relevant Caribbean jurisdiction in which Cariboo operates. Where local law requires it, disputes will be resolved through arbitration in that jurisdiction.
